Just to be safe, I would weigh or someone others are estimated fairly precisely. If you do not want to do that, I think you should be fine if the vehicle is smaller and on the road.
Make sure there are no hills or steep dirt / gravel roads need unity.
You can buy a new truck now, very, very inexpensivley because of gas prices and the automotive industry. I recommend that once a V8.
What are you going to tow? most cars, yes. Towing of the motor is closer to 7500 lbs. It is a great engine, do not really know why the towing limit is so low ...
If you are a big SUV, towing a van or get everything in order.
